A Rose in Winter

I wanted to create a styled Bridal session to make my heart happy during what felt like the LONGEST winter of my life! HA!

The lovely, Jade was brave enough to hop into a wedding dress and play in the crazy stupid amount of snow we got just days before our session....approximately 37 feet of snow in 2 days....only a slight exaggeration.

The inspiration for the whole shoot was the dress. My very own wedding dress, I LOVE that dress, it's flowy and romantic and really was my dream dress. I had a vision for a classic look with soft, muted colours and a romantic feel. A jaw dropping gorgeous bouquet from Wascana Flower Shoppe, delicate jewelry and the most perfect hair and make up by my girl Jesyka Chelle brought my vision to life.

We decided on a classic up do for Jade's incredible curly hair and added a delicate hair piece. Her make up was kept soft and dewy and glorious. The jewelry was all pieces I have collected over time and the pearls fit perfectly with the small embellishment on the waist of the dress.

Wascana Flower Shoppe was able to create the most perfect bouquet for me...at the very last minute I might add from my very vague description lol! I asked for a soft palette with lots of white and greenery and oh my goodness did they ever deliver! It was more stunning than I could have imagined. They added a soft ivory ribbon and pearl embellishment to complete the look.

Once again, Wakamow Valley was the most stunning backdrop for this session, the snow, trees and frozen winter scenery were perfection.

The hugest thank you to everyone involved for bringing my vision to fruition.
